This Privacy Policy explains how Emily Askin, a licensed real estate agent affiliated with Compass, collects, uses, and protects information you provide through this website, emilyaskin.com (the “Site”). By using the Site or submitting information through it, you agree to the practices described below.

Information I Collect

Information you give me. When you fill out a contact form, inquiry form, or otherwise reach out through the Site, I collect the information you choose to provide — typically your first and last name, email address, and the contents of your message. If you include a phone number or other details in your message, I collect those as well.

Information collected automatically. Like most websites, this Site is hosted on Squarespace, which may automatically collect limited technical information when you visit — such as your device type, browser, general location, pages viewed, and the date and time of your visit. This information is collected through cookies and similar technologies and is used to keep the Site running properly and to understand how visitors use it. You can control cookies through your browser settings; disabling them may affect how parts of the Site function.

How I Use Your Information

I use the information you provide to respond to your questions, requests, and inquiries; to provide real estate services and follow up with you about buying, selling, or general real estate matters; to send you information you have requested; and to keep records of our communications.

I do not sell your personal information.

How Your Information Is Shared

I may share your information only in these limited circumstances:

With Compass. As a real estate agent affiliated with Compass, I may share your information with Compass and its affiliated brokerage entities to provide real estate services to you. Compass maintains its own privacy policy governing its use of that information.

With service providers. The Site and its contact forms are powered by Squarespace, which processes and stores form submissions and technical data on my behalf. I may also use other trusted service providers, such as email tools, to communicate with you.

When required by law. I may disclose information if required to do so by law, regulation, legal process, or a governmental request, or to protect the rights, safety, or property of myself or others.

Data Retention

I keep the information you submit for as long as needed to respond to you and to provide real estate services, and afterward as needed for recordkeeping, legal, or business purposes. You may ask me to delete your information at any time (see below).

Your Choices and Rights

At any time, you may ask what personal information I have about you, ask me to correct or update it, ask me to delete it, or ask me to stop contacting you. To make any of these requests, contact me using the details at the bottom of this policy. Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under applicable privacy laws, and I will honor those rights as required.

Security

I take reasonable steps to protect the information you provide. However, no method of transmission over the internet or electronic storage is completely secure, so I cannot guarantee absolute security.

Third-Party Links

The Site may contain links to third-party websites, including Compass, property search tools, and multiple listing service (MLS) content. I am not responsible for the privacy practices of those sites, and I encourage you to review their privacy policies.

Children’s Privacy

The Site is not directed to children under 16, and I do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided information through the Site, please contact me so I can remove it.

Changes to This Policy

I may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When I do, I will revise the Effective Date shown above. Your continued use of the Site after any change means you accept the updated policy.
